Born and raised in the Bay Area, she has spent decades building solid relationships and helping individuals, families, and business owners protect what matters most.

Lazena began her career with State Farm in the claims department, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in how coverage works when it counts the most. That foundation shaped her approach as an agent—focused on clarity, preparation, and advocacy for her customers. In 1996, she opened her first agency in Hayward. Over the past 20+ years as an agent, Lazena has built a reputation for expertise, integrity, and service across auto, home, life, commercial insurance- and more! Her dedication, along with her team’s commitment, has earned many company-wide recognitions and awards, including the State Farm Crystal Excellence Award for the Legion of Honor.

Beyond insurance, Lazena is a lifelong leader and mentor. She co-founded the Minority Business Program at Cal State Long Beach—now known as the Student Center for Professional Development—helping build mentorship, academic support, and career pathways that continue to impact students today. She is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Sistas on the Link Golf Club, reflecting her long-standing commitment to service, community, and connecting with others through shared passions.

Family is at the heart of everything Lazena does. She has two daughters, Miyani and Mylah, who, yes, are also licensed in insurance—mostly against their will—proving that smart coverage and insurance knowledge runs in the family. When she’s not in the office, Lazena enjoys traveling, laughing, attending concerts & festivals, perfecting her swing on the golf course, and creating chaos, laughter, and memories with her family—in the finest way!

Now also licensed in Arizona, Lazena has expanded her reach while embracing new opportunities in a state that has quickly become her second home. Between California and Arizona, she enjoys connecting with diverse communities, exploring breathtaking landscapes, and supporting customers through every stage of life.
